Poems by guest author Ruth Grant
February
slender stems in tiny clusters
they appear in February
sweeping away
the dullness of winter,
snowdrops
an invitation to celebrate
Valentine
run to the letter box
eagerly searching
intimate scribbles
on perfumed paper
romance in the air
will it be there
a quick glance
a smile of relief
he’s remembered
this is Saint Valentine’s
day
